We've left it for as long as possible in the hope the surgery would find our Yellow Fever records of yester-year, but alas no, so jab day was today. So far so good, though the plan is to stay hunkered down for the next couple of days and not push it.
To be fair, it was actually quite entertaining. Shikha, who is the pharmacist we had the jabs from, is not your average pharmacist. I did actually ask her today if there was anything she didn't do. She pondered this question for a nano-second and said she couldn't do surgery, but that was going to be her next aim.
She's a bit of a live-wire and simply doesn't stop talking, which I agree, is fairly ripe coming from me. She's sorting vials, certificates, correct-size needles while yarping on about her kiddie, partner, Christmas, her family, work, our vaccine, holidays. You name it, it's all discussed during our time slot. At no time does she seem to draw breath and assess what she's doing. It seems as though what she's doing, she's done all her life and can do it blindfolded.
She runs a couple of beauty clinics and also a travel clinic from both of these locations, plus she has a pharmacy at home. From what I can work out, she works permanently. She's the sort of person you feel exhausted when you leave, but also rather enriched.
