Our last full day at sea

Controlled chaos as we packed

As we pulled away from the quayside in Vigo, Gabrielle tearfully declared that she wanted me to promise that we would do this again. It’s been a surprise to both of us how much we have enjoyed being on this ship and the excitement and exhilaration of the exotic places we have visited. As it comes to an end we can only reflect on a great time with so many highlights it’s almost impossible to remember them all. And that’s why we wrote this blog.

Having a "swell" time

I am, of course, desperately trying to cling on to the bright side and my bright side is, that my (one) soup, stayed down last night. Result! The other bright side is that I had an epic night's sleep of 6 hours, which is awesome for me under normal circumstances, but in these conditions is remarkable.

As we hunkered down last night, there was a murmur next to me; "I wasn't expecting to wear a seat belt in bed". Under normal circumstances, I am a lie-on-the-edge-of-the-bed sleeper. However, that sleeping style would have seen me swiftly evicted from the bed.
